Something a little different

Feilding · 1900

On a sloped site, tucked away on a back section - this 3 bedroom has a bigger stance than it's footprint.

The brief

This split level home was created for parents to be on one living and kids on the slightly lower level. Making use of the natural form of the site was a priority and creating interest on the outside as well as inside was the point of difference

The approach

Looking at the ground heights on this section, we didn't want the house to dominate the drive up to it. We wanted a home that would blend in, but from the inside feel like the boundary's never existed.

The outcome

The result was something not often done. Bold color palates and exterior products used internally. The use of louver windows with large glass outlooks. The split level of this home meant that the family could be all together but still allow teenagers to have some space if needed.
